The Ag Sweepstakes Banquet took place on Monday, April 6, at the New Ulm Community Center.

KNUJ Ag Sweepstakes Winner

APRIL 7 - KNUJ and several sponsors gave away over $3,000 in ag merchandise Monday evening during the annual Ag Appreciation Banquet.


The winner of the 2009 Ag Sweepstakes is Richard Schnobrich of New Ulm. Schnobrich and his family have been farming since 1970. He registered for the Ag Sweepstakes at Harmening Oil in New Ulm.


The guest speaker for Monday's banquet was University of Minnesota K-12 Education Specialist Susan Anderson. She discussed her efforts to educate urban youth on the importance of agriculture, as well as some misconceptions about agriculture that may exist.
