Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
¼ cup shortening
2 tablespoons of ketchup or chilli sauce
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of biscuit mix
⅔ cup of milk
1 cup cooked tomatoes – drained
1 cup grated cheese
Directions
Saute onions in shortening until golden. Add ground beef and brown. Set aside
Stir milk into the biscuit mix ~ stirring until blended. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 6 times. Roll into a circular shape and place in a 9 inch pie pan. Fill with meat and onion. Cover with tomatoes and top with grated cheese. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
