      The Motivational March and Rally to STOP VETERAN SUICIDE

      Sunday, June 26th, 2016

      A TWO PART EVENT TO PREVENT AND BRING AWARENESS TO VETERAN SUICIDE

      1. A March of 23 miles from North Mankato, MN to Riverside Park in New Ulm, MN. The 23 miles represents the 22 Veterans and 1 Active Duty Service Member that take their own lives every day. Estimated departure at 4am. Marchers can join in along the route with the final stage at Eckstein Landing on Nicollet Cty Rd. 37. Upon entering the city limits, the New Ulm in honor of the 23.

      2.Rally at Riverside Park from 12pm-4pm. Upon arrival at the park, the Marchers will be greeted by the attendees. A brief Memorial Service, Taps, a balloon release and an opening with a rendition of Our National Anthem. Live Music by “Angry Waters”.

      Veterans Organizations and other support groups will be on hand to offer guidance to those in need. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Any proceeds or donations will go to Veterans Organizations and Programs. Contact us on Facebook at Liam Kelly Motivational March.

      The Augustana Lutheran Church of Gibbon will hold its annual Midsummer worship service Sunday, June 26th at 10:00am at the Clear Lake Lutheran Church, located on Sibley County Rd. 8 between Lafayette and Gibbon.

      Following the service at Clear Lake Church, a Potluck Dinner will be served at 11:30am in the basement of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

      All are welcome!

      CARVER CREEK BLUEGRASS

      The Carver Creek Bluegrass, a family band of 5 siblings will be performing a variety of
      music playing the typical banjo, guitar, bass and fiddle and some unusual ones, like the
      bodran and musical saw,playing selections of bluegrass, old time, gospel and Irish music.
      We are glad to have the family back again for our program.  They will play from 1 to 4 pm 
      on Sunday, June 26th.  Come and bring a lawn chair or enjoy the porch and enjoy the
      afternoon of music.  The family will also have their CD”s for sale.

      The admission to the store is included with admission to the program.  The gift shop is
      open the same hours as the store.  It is filled with books, toys, hand crafted and unique 
      items, also 10 cent candy.

      The 1870′s Harkin Store is located nine miles northwest of New Ulm on Nicollet County 
      Road 21, or the bottom road, or nine miles east of Fort Ridgely.  For more information
