    1. Christmas Tree Disposal
      12:00 am – 11:45 pm

      Christmas tree pick-up and disposal service is once again to be provided to residents of New Ulm by the city street department.

      Crews will be picking up and disposing natural Christmas trees through January. Residents are requested to remove all ribbon, wire, ornaments, tinsel, and plastic bags and then place the trees on the boulevard area of the intersection nearest to their home or business.

      Free Grief Support Group Begins Feb 2

      The Redwood Are Hospital will be holding an Adult Grief Support Group on Monday, February 2- March 9 from 4:30-6:30 in the hospital’s west conference room.

      There is no cost to participate. It is important the participants attend all six sessions, if possible

      Minnesota State Mankato

      Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Dental Hygiene and area dental professionals are joining a statewide effort to provide free dental care on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 5-6 to children under age 18 who are unable to access needed dental care.

      Minnesota State Mankato’s dental hygiene department will provide area children under 18 free dental care on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the dental clinic on campus in the lower level of Morris Hall.

      Appointments are available for children under the age of 18 who are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for cleanings, x-rays, exams, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Those interested in scheduling an appointment should call the dental clinic at 507-389-2147.

      Minnesota State Mankato will also be offering free dental exams and x-rays for adults on Friday, Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Appointments are available by calling 507-389-2147.

      Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Dental Hygiene is part of the College of Allied Health & Nursing at the University.
