      Monday Night Concerts start at 7pm at German Park. In case of inclement weather, the performances will be held at the New Ulm Civic Center (1212 North Franklin). Listen to KNUJ for weather related updates. Relay for Life will be selling popcorn and soda.

      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Register for the 2nd Annual Immanuel Lutheran School’s ‘Strides for Souls’ Family Fun 5K Walk/Run by August 1 and receive a t-shirt. You can register by stopping at Immanuel Lutheran School or call Sue at 507-359-4575.

      All proceeds will go to the ‘Strides for Souls’ fund that will help with tuition assistance and other students needs at Immanuel Lutheran School. The Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, August 23, at the school. Registration starts at 8am and the race starts at 8:45am.

      Saturday, August 23, 1:30pm – Independent Historian Curtis Dahlin grew up on a farm near Sisseton, South Dakota, on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Indian Reservation. He graduated from South Dakota State in 1964 with a degree in history, spent two years in the army and worked for the Department of Transportation as a traffic analyst for 35 years. Since retiring in 2002, he has spent time researching and writing on US Dakota Uprising of 1862 in Minnesota. He has published two books and three shorter booklets on the US Dakota War. His talk will deal with various aspects of the Uprising. 

      Come to Fort Ridgely at 1:30pm for this fascinating program.

      The Harkin Store will be having a program on old schools in Nicollet County. There will be old pictures and old school books and a picture of the old private school, the Robinson school, in the town of West Newton. The program in Sunday, August 24, from 1-4pm.
