    2. 34th Infantry Division “RED BULL” Concert Band
      6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      34th Infantry Division “RED BULL” Concert Band

      The 34th Infantry Division “RED BULL” Concert Band under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer 2 David Stordalen, Commander, will be performing at the Performing Arts Center at the New Ulm Public High School, located on North Highland Ave on Friday, august 18th, 2017.  Doors will be open at 6:30 pm and program will start at 7pm.  Admission is FREE to the general public .  After the program the band members will socialize with the general public at the American Legion Post 132.

      The American Red Cross urges blood donors to give in the final weeks of summer to help overcome a chronic summer blood shortage.

      In August, regular donors may delay giving as final summer vacations are planned and back-to-school activities ramp up. To fully meet the needs of hospital patients in the coming days and weeks, donations are urgently needed from new and current donors. Those who donated blood earlier this summer may be eligible to donate again. Blood can be safely donated every 56 days, and Power Red cells can be donated every 112 days.

      As a special thank you, those who come out to give blood or platelets with the Red Cross now through Aug. 31 will be emailed a $5 Target eGiftCard™.*

      Appointments can be scheduled by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). To help reduce wait times, donors are encouraged to make appointments and complete the RapidPass online health history questionnaire at redcrossblood.org/RapidPass.

      MacPhail instructor Andrea Leap will provide vocals for the strings and harpsichord musicians. Andrea Leap is a fiscal year 2017 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.  This event is open to the public for a $5 donation and will also be an appetizer potluck with a Q & A about lifelong learning.

Spectators can view the cars, shop the unique stores, and grab a bite to eat at one of the many downtown restaurants and bars. Hourly door prizes will be awarded. New vehicles from area car dealerships will be on display. There will be vendor booths for the ladies, and local non-profit groups will have displays. During the cruise-in, the Brown County Historical Society Museum will be open with free admission, and New Ulm’s historic Popcorn Wagon will be out, too!
