A Memorial Day Service will be held in Gibbon on Monday, May 25, at the GFW Elementary School gym beginning at 9:00 am. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the war poem “In Flanders Fields” which was the inspiration to make the poppy a symbol of remembrance for those who lost their lives in the line of duty. Please join us in commemorating the National Memorial Poppy program while we honor those who have served our country and who fought to keep us a free nation.
