    2. Ride the Bock Fest Shuttle Bus for Free!
      2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Ride the Bock Fest Shuttle Bus for Free!

The Bock Fest/Fasching events, held February 6th this year, is one of New Ulm’s biggest festival weekends.  Over 5,000 guests and visitors will arrive in New Ulm to enjoy music, food, drink and fun times.  With this large amount of guests coming to our town, moving them from place to place and finding parking becomes a concern.  In response to this concern and to enhance our guests’ experience, the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating a mini coach bus that will transport people on a set route that includes events, establishments and lodging facilities from 2pm-10pm on Saturday, February 6th.  Area businesses that are contributing to this effort include the B&L Bar, McDonald’s, Schell’s Brewery, Turner Hall, and the New Ulm Event Center.

The bus will run a continuous route between 2pm and 10pm.  The route for the bus is as follows:

      • ·         Behind Target on 18th St S (until 6pm)
      • ·         Microtel Parking Lot, 424 20th St S
      • ·         Best Western Plus, 2101 S Broadway
      • ·         Downtown, 3rd North & Minnesota
      • ·         Downtown, Center & Minnesota (Chamber of Commerce Corner)
      • ·         New Ulm Event Center, 301 20th S.

For more information about Bock Fest, Fasching, or the Bock Fest Shuttle Bus, check out the community calendar at www.newulm.com, or contact the New Ulm Area Chamber at 507-233-4300chamber@newulm.com

    3. Treaty Site History Center – St. Peter
      7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

A Special Evening of Urban Blues featuring The Butanes

      Treaty Site History Center

      Saturday, February 6, 2016

      7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15.00. Space is limited. Advanced ticket purchases encouraged.

As part of St. Peter Winterfest, the Nicollet County Historical Society presents a Special Evening of Urban Blues featuring The Butanes.

Long a commanding presence on the Minneapolis blues/R&B scene, the Butanes began receiving numerous individual and group awards in the late 80’s. The early 90’s found the band holding down two house gigs that have since become a cherished part of local lore: the 10 strong Butanes Soul Revue brought southern soul to the Cabooze bar every Wednesday and the trio delivered Chicago blues to the 400 bar every Thursday. As the accolades piled up, local appearances became less frequent. The band could often be found playing behind luminaries around the world leading one New Orleans wag to dub them “the best band you’ve never heard of.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.stpetercommunityedonline.com or by calling (507) 934-3048.  Space is limited so purchase your tickets in advance!

       Volunteer support from SAMM Promotions.

Please contact the Society at 507-934-2160 or museum@nchsmn.org for more details. The Treaty Site History Center is located one-mile north of downtown Saint Peter at Highways 169 and 22, across from the Mankato Clinic.
