Free Family Concert – Handel With Care

On Saturday, November 14th, the second installment of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra’s “Handel With Care”
family concert series will take place at the Mankato YMCA. This interactive show is suitable for all ages, and is
intended to offer children a fun and educational experience about classical music. Performances begin at 11 am,
last approximately 45 minutes, and feature live classical music and interactive educational activities.

Attendance is free; however, free-will donations are encouraged.

These hilarious and fun filled performances are based on the life and music of George Frideric Handel, featuring an
actor portraying the German composer and the MSO String Quartet. Each child gets to take home a gift and a snack
at the end of each show.

This is a perfect first concert experience for a child, being much more open and informal than a typical string quartet
performance. It’s OK for the kids to sing and dance along!

The Mankato YMCA is located at 1401 S. Riverfront Drive, Mankato, MN 56001.

For more information, call the MSO office at 507-625-8880 or email us at mso@hickorytech.net.
