The Renville County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a Youth Snowmobile Training course on January 26, beginning at 9am at the Renville County Office Building, 105 5th Street South, room 117-lower level in Olivia. You can register by calling the Renville County Dispatcher Center at 320-523-1161.
The registration fee will be provided by the Renville County Sheriff’s Office Driver Awareness Program, therefore the training will be no cost to the student.
Pre-registration is required and students must meet the following requirements: Be at least 12 years of age; be accompanied by an parent or guardian; have your own snowmobile and proper safety gear; successful completion of the Minnesota DNR Safety CD and printout of the Certification of Completion.
