Come to the Treaty Site History Center on Thursday, October 4, at 7pm to watch the documentary film The City Dark. This screening is free and all are welcome.
The film follows filmmaker Ian Cheney, who moves to New York City from Maine and discovers an urban sky almost completely devoid of stars. Posing a deceptively simple question – “What do we lost, when we lose the night?” – the film leads viewers on a quest to understand how light pollution effects people and the planet. The City Dark shines new light on the meaning of the dark.
Admission to the film series is free for all. The Treaty Site History Center is located one mile north of downtown Saint Peter at Highways 169 and 22, across from Mankato Clinic.
