Introducing the MENding Project, Wednesday, December 4, 7pm, United Church of Christ, 318 4th Street, Gaylord.
Featured speaker will be Cara Bishop, Henderson. Cara will bravely speak from the heart, telling the story of how her daughter, Josselyn, was murdered by her ex-boyfriend on July 8, 2011. Here a mother’s perspective on how domestic violence can change the lives of many forever. Learn from this very powerful message some of the warning signs of control and violence. Parents note – this speech contains graphic descriptions of the incident. Not suitable for younger children.
Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring your spouses, children, friends, neighbors. Light refreshments available after the presentations.
Domestic violence does exist in Sibley County. It plagues schools, work places, communities and homes. Please come to learn more about a new project: The MENding Project, which acknowledges men’s unique opportunity to end men’s violence against women and our collective responsibility to do so.
