On Sunday, June 9, is our Flag Day Program from 1-4pm at the Harkin Store. The Harkin Store will be having information about our nation’s flag. How did the flag start? How has the flag evolved? What does the design of the flag mean? What did the flag of the 1870′s look like? Our program will answer these questions.

The gift shop will have flag items for sale. The Harkin Store hours are from 10am-5pm on Tuesdays to Sundays in June, July and August. The store is closed on Mondays. There is an admission to teh store, which includes the program.

The 1870′s Harkin Store is nine miles northwest of New Ulm on Nicollet County Road 21 or the bottom road, or nine miles east of Fort Ridgely. The store is operated by the Nicollet County Historical Society. For more information, call 507-354-8666 or Nicollet County 507-934-2160.
