DESCRIPTION:<p>Teh Prinzenpaar of the German-American Mardi Gras Associatio
 n will serve as Grand Marshals of New Ulm&#8217\;s German-American Day Par
 ade\, a feature of Oktoberfest 2012. Prinz Darrel I and Prinzessin Patrici
 a I\, national GAMGA royalty\, will lead the parade.</p>\n<p>The parade wi
 ll form at New Ulm&#8217\;s Glockenspiel at 10:30am on Saturday\, October 
 6\, and march off at 11am. It will proceed south along Minnesota Street to
  Center Street. The parade is sponsored by the German-Bohemian Heritage So
 ciety. The public is invited to participate on foot\, on horseback or on w
 heels. Families and urged to make a sign with family name\, add the year i
 n which the family arrived in America and/or New Ulm and join the parade. 
 Participants are encouraged to wear their German costume is possible and c
 arry American and German flags. Musical units and floats are invited to ad
 d to the festivities.</p>\n<p>No pre-registration is necessary. For additi
