St. James woman facing assault charges after funeral home fight 15 Sep 18

A St. James woman is facing assault charges after an incident that occurred at a funeral home. According to the criminal complaint, St. James Police were called to Sturm Funeral Home on September 2nd for a report that 61-year-old Shelly Miller had slammed a truck door on one victim’s head and left scratches on another victim. Court documents say that they were there to make funeral arrangements for Dustin Wolters, who was found unresponsive in a campground in Trimont over Labor Day weekend, and that Miller was yelling at one of the victims that he was the one that caused Wolters’ death. Shelly is facing two counts of assault in the fifth degree and one count of disorderly conduct.
