New Ulm woman faced with burglary charges in Mankato 18 Sep 18

A New Ulm woman is facing a felony count Burglary-First Degree Dwelling and a misdemeanor count of theft after breaking into a home in Mankato. According to the criminal complaint, 37-year-old Tanya Lieder was caught by the resident of the house watching TV and listening to the radio, she also reported that Lieder consumed 2 bottles of wine, took a shower and had stolen jewelry. When confronted by the victim, Lieder said a friend had told her that it was a friend’s house and that she could go in. Lieder then fled the scene but she left her purse behind, identifying her.
