Minneapolis man flees Brown County deputies and police 11 Sep 18

A Minneapolis man was involved in a multi-county high speed police pursuit and is now facing charges of Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving. On August 19, 38-year-old Leroy Bradley was being pursued by police while driving a stolen Dodge Durango. The chase began in Nicollet County and Bradley then entered Brown County. The Dodge was headed westbound on Highway 14 towards Courtland when he evaded officers. Area police continued to search for the vehicle, and it wasn’t until they got a call from Sirius XM Radio Company that the vehicle had pinged somewhere on Highway 14 towards Sleepy Eye that they were able to locate him. A Springfield police officer located the vehicle 2 miles east of Cobden and a second pursuit began. The officer followed Bradley, speeds reached over 130 miles per hour. The officer then lost him when they reached Springfield. The search continued until a second call from Sirius XM came in and they located the vehicle traveling southbound on Brown County Road 5 toward Comfrey. A third pursuit began until the suspect was eventually apprehended in Jackson County. Bradley could face 3 years and 1 day in prison, a $5,000 fine or both for the fleeing charge, and 90 days in jail, a $1,000 fine or both for the reckless driving charge.
