Fairmont woman charged after Nicollet crash 15 Sep 18

A Fairmont woman is facing charges of criminal vehicular operation and DWI after an accident that occurred in June in Nicollet County. According to the complaint, 26-year-old Lindsey Wegner was driving in the wrong lane on County Road 23 when she collided with oncoming traffic, the driver of that vehicle said he waited for Wegner to correct herself and had to swerve at the last second to avoid contact but was unsuccessful. Wegner told Police she had no recollection of how the accident occurred. Police suspected that Wegner was high, and she later admitted to using methamphetamine. As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the other vehicle reported substantial bodily harm including broken ribs, a fractured sternum, and fractured vertebrae.
