Comfrey man suffers life threatening injuries in accident 22 Sep 18

The Minnesota State Highway Patrol reported an accident in Comfrey Friday night that left one man with life threatening injuries. A Chevrolet Malibu driven by 60-year-old Robert Zwaschka of Comfrey was traveling northbound on 290th Avenue when it collided with a westbound GMC Sierra driven by 57-year-old Gerard Rathman of Comfrey on 120th Street. Zwaschka was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to North Memorial Hospital for life threatening injuries. Rathman was taken to Sleepy Eye Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Other agencies involved included Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Sleepy Eye Ambulance.
