New Ulm City Manager leaving 22 Aug 18

A surprise at the New Ulm City Council meeting Tuesday night.  City Manager Brian Gramentz announced his plan to resign at the end of the year.  The council was informed prior to the start of the meeting.  Council President Charlie Schmitz said the council received a notice from the City Attorney Roger Hippert that Gramentz had offered a letter of resignation and separation agreement with the city effective December 31.  The agreement has not been made public at this time due to attorney-client privilege.  The council also approved a recommendation for mini-roundabouts to be constructed on North Highland Avenue at Oak Street and at Center Street with the Oak Street location being the top priority.  The motion was unanimously approved by the council.  The earliest construction would begin would be 2019
