Courtland Mayor tells residents they complain too much 15 Jun 18

The Mayor of Courtland recently told members of the Courtland City Council that residents of the community complain too much. Mayor Al Poehler estimates the city received over 20 complaints in May. The problem stems from residents approaching city maintenance worker Dave Ubel because he is visible within the community. Poehler says people are taking up too much of Ubel’s time, preventing him from completing his other duties. Poehler suggested residents with complaints fill out a form with the city clerk which will be forwarded to the city council. This way the council can track how quickly the city responds to complaints and how often the same complaints come up. Complaints the city has received that Poehler says the city shouldn’t have to address include dog complaints, neighbor complaints and parking complaints.
