Hoffman has been sheriff for the past 12 years and has 26 years of experience in law enforcement. Hoffman has given his support to candidate Chief Deputy Jason Seidl who has worked with Hoffman for the past 12 years. The race for sheriff now includes four candidates with Seidl and deputy Jason Fairbairn filing for election prior to the June 5 deadline. On the ballot for the primary election will include Seidl, deputies Matt Ibberson and Jason Fairbairn and New Ulm Police Senior Investigator Jeff Hohensee.
