Redwood Falls Police Officer recognized for life-saving efforts 08 May 18

On Tuesday, May 1st an officer with the Redwood Falls Police Chief was commended by Redwood Falls Mayor Corey Theis and Redwood Falls Police Chief Jason Cotner for his life saving efforts in March. Officer Tony Evans was called to a residence in Redwood Falls for a possible drug overdose. While assisting deputies of the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office initiated CPR, Evans has the presence of mind to assess the situation and administer Maloxone to the individual. Shortly after administering the antidote the individual began breathing normally. The Sheriff’s Department and the North Ambulance crew credit the actions of Officer Evens in saving the individuals life. He was recognized with the chief’s commendation.
