Lake Lillian man gets probation for weapons charge 25 May 18

A Lake Lillian man will serve five years probation on a weapons charge.  John Jacobson was sentenced Thursday in Kandiyohi County District Court in Willmar.  Jacobson pleaded guilty last month to the weapon charge and one count of fifth-degree drug possession which is a gross misdemeanor.  Seven other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.  Jacobson was among five people arrested after local law enforcement executed a search warrant south of Willmar in January.  Nearly four-dozen firearms were seized along with ammunition, homemade silencers, night vision goggles and a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.  A cache of explosives was also found and were disposed of by the Minneapolis Bomb Squad.
