Mapleton woman in custody following police pursuit 14 Apr 18

A Mapleton woman who refused to stop for authorities is in custody. According to the state patrol a Chrysler Sebring driven by 32-year-old April May Valliant was in the wrong lane of Highway 112 west of Le Center and nearly struck a Le Sueur County Sheriff’s deputy head-on around 11:15 p.m. Thursday night. Valliant allegedly refused to stop for the deputy, ignored stop signs, drove in the wrong lane and reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour during the pursuit. Eventually Valliant lost control and went into the ditch. She as arrested and booked into the Le Sueur County Jail where she is awaiting charges.
