Investigation takes place following threat to Mountain Lake Public Schools 20 Apr 18

Officials at Mountain Lake Public Schools sent out a letter to parents and students’ reporting a threatening note was found written on toilet paper in the high school’s third floor bathroom Thursday afternoon. The note made reference to a potential threat with no specific time mentioned other than “tomorrow.” A sweep of the entire building was conducted Thursday night by law enforcement, the fire department and administrators. Classes are in session as usual today with added security. The district is offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or person’s involved.
