Nicollet family receiving donations from all over the world 12 Feb 18

A family from Nicollet who lost their home to a fire in January is receiving donations to help them get back on their feet from all over the world. Parrish Skrien’s oldest daughter, 24-year-old Anna Engeman lives in Hawaii and created a GoFundMe account to help with expenses. People have donated from as far away as New Zealand. 23-year-old Katelyn Skrien is based in South Korea with the U.S. Army and the family has received support from her friends as well. 19-year-old Emily Skrien is a basketball player at Bethany Lutheran College and her coach and teammates held a fundraiser for the family on Wednesday. 17-year-old Brooke Skrien plays basketball for Nicollet High School and an opposing team put together a duffle bag of necessities for Brooke to use. Another team set up a free-will donation for the Skriens.
