Gustavous receives $10 million gift 17 Jan 18

Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter has received a $10 million dollar gift from an alumnus to help funding and building expansion and student scholarships. Bob Peterson, who is president and CEO of a trucking company, and his wife are giving two gifts. A $5 million dollars fund will match donations made to the Novel Hall of Science expansion. Once the matching gift is met, the Peterson’s committed to giving another $5 million dollars to their scholarship endowment fund. The fund provides scholarships to National Merit Scholars. Peterson graduated from Gustavus in 1974. He worked for two years in the college’s business office and working in accounting, banking and venture capital before starting his own trucking company in 1989.
