Brownton teen assaults friend with crow bar 09 Jan 18

A Brownton teenager is  being accused of assaulting his friend Friday in Gaylord. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a Gaylord gas station where a 16-year-old boy reported he was assaulted by 19-year-old Jose Mario Amaya Losa after they met to smoke marijuana. The boy and a witness say Losa hit the boy with a crow bar and tried to rob him. Another witness reported seeing a man chasing the boy with a crow bar. The boy had a hand injury consisten with being struck by a crow bar. Losa allegedly admitted to meeting the boy to smoke marijuana and have conflicting stories about what happened thereafter. A crow bar was found in Losa’s vehicle. He was charged with felony assault Monday in Sibley County District Court.
