Crash near Morton kills 3 (revised) 10 Dec 17

 

Three people including a one-year-old child were killed in a crash near Morton Saturday afternoon.  The state patrol says a 2002 Ford Windstar was southbound on Highway 71 and a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant northbound on 71.  The Mitsubishi attempted to pass a vehicle on a bridge and collided head-on with the Ford.  Drivers of both vehicles – 41-year-old Teresa Linde of Redwood Falls and Shaunna Marie Kraft of Lakefield were both killed as was a one-year-old passenger in Kraft’s vehicle identified as Brexlee Brian Thammalong.  Two other passengers in Kraft’s vehicle – 27-year-old Khampong Thammalong of Lakefield and 7-year-old Ryler Loren Ybarra, address unknown, were taken to hospitals in the Twin Cities with life threatening injuries.  Both drivers and Ybarra were not wearing seatbelts.  Morton and Redwood Falls Police along with the Redwood and Renville County Sheriff’s Offices and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
