Arlington City Council votes against housing study 04 Dec 17

The Arlington City Council voted against a joint city comprehensive housing study. The study would cost the city over $3700 and councilors felt that Arlington would be best served by conductying its own housing study. The idea of a joint city housing study was proposed by a group called the Sibley Housing Team. The goal was to work with the Sibley Housing Team to engage a consultant to conduct a housing study that would benefit the communities. After the study was completed it would have been made available to each city to use as they see fit. Ad Mark Resources was chosen as the consultant to perform the housing study at a fee of $18,000. The cost would have been split by Arlington, Gaylord and Winthrop.
