Grant will create coders at Waseca, Le Sueur Library 11 Nov 17

Children as young as preschool age will have the opportunity to learn computer programming skills at Waseca and Le Sueur county libraries. The Waseca County Library has received a $25,000 grant from Google to develop a computer science and robotics program for children and teens over the next year. Some of the programs will be replicated at other libraries in in the Waseca-Le Sueur Library System. The grant is funding the purchase of robots, computers and other technology as well as supporting staffing time to design and hold classes. Over 400 libraries applied for $500,000 in funding provided by Google and distributed by the American Library Association.
