Ex-employee pleads guilty to theft 01 Nov 17

A former Seneca Foods employee has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $35,000 dollars from company. Forty-five-year-old Chad Alexander Phillips of Elysian pleaded guilty to felony theft Monday in Fairibault County District Court. Phillips made unauthorized purchases using a company credit card. According to the criminal complaint, he is also accused of stealing company equipment and electronics and pocketing company scrap recycling profits. Phillips resigned from the Cleveland School Board after charges were filed. He will be sentenced December 12th.
