City Council to consider paying for heating 21 Nov 17

The New Ulm City Council will be considering a resolution for the drafting and signing of a lease amendment that would require the city to pay for winter heating of the Riverside Park building and the Kiesling House.  Right now, the lease agreement for the Riverside Park building does not require the Coalition for a Clean Minnesota River, who currently lease the building, to heat the building during the winter.  Kathleen Backer has a lease agreement for the Kiesling House and has paid to heat the building during the winter.  If the city changes the lease for the Riverside building, a request would be made for a similar change for the Kiesling House.  The Park and Rec Commission unanimously recommended the city authorize this change at their meeting held earlier this month.  A public hearing will also be held for the final assessment rolls for 2016 utility, street and alley improvements.  The city council meeting starts at 4:30 today (Tuesday) in the City Hall council chambers.
