Sleepy Eye man charged in hit and run, police pursuit 03 Oct 17

The 36-year-old Sleepy Eye man who caused three crashes and took police on a pursuit Friday night was  charged this (Tuesday) morning in Brown County District Court. Clinton Marvy Evans is facing felony fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors DWI and two counts of failure to notify owner of damaged property. According to the criminal complaint, the New Ulm Police Department received three reports of hit and run crashes Friday night between 8-8:15 p.m. Police located the vehicle and after a pursuit through New Ulm, Evans drove south on Highway 15 at speeds up to 75 miles per hour before being stopped by authorities. He was arrested and transported to the New Ulm Medical Center. He remains in custody at the Brown County Jail.
