Police chase North Mankato man twice 23 Sep 17

North Mankato Police were involved in two high speed pursuits of a North Mankato man who violated a restraining order. According to the criminal complaint, the woman protected by the restraining order reported 42-year-old Aaron Winter Carson entered her home without her consent. He pushed her into a chair, smashed her cell phone and took her vehicle without permission. Police located the car and attempted to stop Carson, but he refused to stop. Carson allegedly reached speeds over 100 miles per hour, ran multiple stop lights and stop signs, and drove in the wrong lane of traffic so officers halted the pursuit due to his reckless driving. Eventually Carson was located again and stopped. He told police he fled to clear his head. Carson has been charged with felony burglary, stalking and fleeing police and misdemeanor assault and violating a restraining order.
