Man accused of video taping juvenile boys uses probable cause as defense 11 Sep 17

An Eden Valley man appeared in court September 1st after being accused of recording a Snapchat video of juvenile boys in the locker room at the Hutchinson Aquatic Center. Twenty-two year-old Eduardo E. Romero’s defense team told the judge it would challenge whether there was probable cause for the charge against Romero. He was charged in August with interfering with the privacy of a minor when a boy reported the incident to pool staff and police arrested Romero. According to court documents, defense attorney Scott Nokes told the judge that the charge calls for a defendant’s actions to avoid notice and Romero was doing it in the open as a selfie for his mother who lives in Mexico. A hearing for the attorney’s in the case to argue the point is scheduled for Thursday.
