High school football player receives traumatic neck injury during game 12 Sep 17

A 17-year-old Hills Beaver Creek football player received a traumatic neck injury during a game Friday night. Running Back Trenton Bass broke his C5 and C6 vertebrae when he was tackled in a game against Mountain Lake Area according to his Pray for Trenton Facebook page. He underwent surgery to repair the vertebrae Friday night and is showing signs of improvement. Bass has gone from having no feeling below his breastbone to having feeling all the way down to his belly button while gaining more strength in his arms and upper body. According to the Facebook post it is unknown if he will make a full recovery.
