A former Watonwan County Sheriff committed suicide shortly after being questioned about allegations of sexual abuse. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office says it was investigating 83-year-old Jack KEech about sexually abusing two girls he knew. A sheriff investigator interviewed both girls who say Keech was a family friend and molested them multiple times while they were visiting his home in Madelia. Keech was interviewed September 15th and admitted to inappropriately touching one of the girls once while giving her a massage. He denied every abusing the other girl. Keech was found dead later that day due to suicide. No further investigation is planned.
