Former a capella group member sentenced for swindling 07 Sep 17

A former member of the a capella group Tonic Sol Fa has been sentenced after being convicted of swindling from the group. Forty-six-year-old Mark McGowan pled guilty to Theft by Swindle in Stearns County District Court August 17th. He was sentenced to stayed jail time of 60 days if he meets conditions of probation that includes paying the group back $13,000. McGowan was arrested after a lengthy investigation. The criminal complaint says he stole from the group from January 2010 until December 2014. Tonic Sol Fa is made up of Shaun Johnson, Jared Dove and Greg Bannwarth. McGowen has been replaced with Theo Brown.
