A New Ulm man was charged Tuesday in Brown County District Court with three felonies for theft and forgery after claiming false caretaking hours. According to the criminal complaint, 55-year-old Daryle Jay Hansen falsely claimed he was providing personal care assistance services from August 2015 through March 2017 collecting more than $32,000 in net income. A Brown County investigator looked into employment records and found Hansen also worked full-time as an over-the-road truck driver and was regularly on the raod at the same time he claimed to be providing care taking services on timesheets.
