Trooper saves child from choking in Le Sueur County 07 Jul 17

A Minnesota State Trooper saved the life of a toddler in May who was choking. The child’s mother pulled over at Highways 99 and 13 in Le Sueur County. The trooper responded to a medical call and found a 2-year-old choking on a sucker. She was barely breathing and her eyes were rolled back. The trooper took over from the mother and delivered back blows. The sucker worked itself loose and the trooper and an EMT were able to remove it with a suction device.
