Second man sentenced for running over woman with car 11 Jul 17

The second of two men involved in an argument with a woman that resulted in her being dragged and run over by a car has been sentenced. Twenty-one-year-old Like William Gual of Worthington was the driver of the vehicle that dragged a woman in May of 2016 in New Ulm. According to the criminal complaint, the two men got into an argument with the woman. She leaned into the car and 23-year-old Steven James Clark of Trimont punched her in the face, grabbed her arm and told Gaul to drive. The woman was dragged 20 to 25 feet and her hand was run over. Gaul pleaded guilty last month to gross misdemeanor failing to stop for an injury crash. He was sentenced Monday to 58 days in jail. Clark pleaded guilty to felony aiding and abetting assault and was sentenced in January to prison time, seven years’ probation and community service. A warrant was issued for his arrest in June for a probation violation.
