Homeless woman charged with theft from bank 06 Jul 17

A homeless woman is accused of defrauding a Mankato bank out of $16,000. Thirty-eight-year-old Tiffany Charlotte Miller was charged Wednesday in Blue Earth County District Court with felony theft and felony check forgery. According to the criminal complaint, Miller opened a bank account in May and would make check deposits using the online banking system and then withdraw the funds from the ATM. All of the checks bounced, leaving the bank with a loss of $16,000.
