Greater Minnesota is facing a daycare shortage 21 Jul 17

The number of childcare providers in Greater Minnesota continues to decline. Assistant Commissioner of the state Department of Human Services Jim Koppel says for the last 15 years, on average, we’ve been losing one provider a day. Thursday Koppel was in Franklin visiting the Cedar Mountain Cougar Childcare Center which was built through a community partnership. Koppel says the Cedar Mountain Cougar Childcare Center can be a model for other struggling communities around the state facing childcare provider shortages.
