Savory Steak Kabobs

1/4 c soy sauce
3 T light brown sugar
3 T distilled white vinegar
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t seasoned salt
1/2 t garlic pepper seasoning
4 oz. lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Mix marinade ingredients together in a medium bowl. Reserve 1/2 cup for basting. Place steak and marinade in resealable bag. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2″ cubes
2 green bell pepper, cut into 2″ pieces and blanched for one minute
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, stems removed
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 fresh pineapple peeled, cored and cubed

Preheat grill for high heat. Thread skewer ingredients onto skewers in an alternating fashion. Discard marinade and the bag.

Lightly oil grill grate. Cook kabobs on prepared grill for 10 minutes or to desired doneness. Baste frequently with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Tip- Can freeze meat and marinade together and thaw in coolers for camping
