Sleepy Eye Council passes resolution addressing allegations of misconduct 13 Jun 17

The Sleepy Eye City Council met in a special meeting Monday evening to address allegations made by city staff against a city councilor. On June 7th, the council met in a closed session to consider allegations against councilor Larry Braun who has been accused of engaging in conduct characterized as threatening or demeaning to city employees. The resolution passed by the council last evening concludes that the conduct described in the investigative report was found to be inappropriate and unacceptable beyond the scope and authority of councilor Braun. The resolution goes on to say any member of the city council who conducts themselves outside of their scope of authority may be subject to penalities or sanctions.
