Sibley County Investigator arrested on drug charges, trespassing 13 Jun 17

A Sibley County investigator was arrested Thursday for drug possession and trespassing. According to the criminal complaint, 44-year-old Jason Ruehling of Arlington had been placed on administrative leave May 31st and given written notice not to return to the office. He returned unannounced Thursday as deputies spotted him entering his old office. Deputies found four pills of Clorazepam in a baggie and a prescription pill bottle belonging to somone else that contained 11 pills of Xanax and Lorazepam. Ruehling told deputies he was at the sheriff’s department to pick up a phone case and return the drugs as part of a previous case. He also claimed he wasn’t aware he was prohibited from returning to the sheriff’s department. He has been charged with felony fifth degree drug possession and misdemeanor traspassing.
