Northrop pastor facing child pornography charges 02 May 17

The pastor at St. James Lutheran Church and Superintendent of St. James Lutheran School of Northrop is facing felony charges of possessing pornographic work on a computer. According to the criminal complaint, an agent with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension posed as a child and accessed the same chatroom the pastor was allegedly using. The agent was able to identify Robert C. Trueblood as the user based on photographs and descriptions provided by Trueblood. A search warrant was executed on April 27th at the church office. The computer used by Trueblood was taken into custody and examined. Bureau officials discovered pornographic photographs depicting children under the age of 18. Trueblood admitted to authorities the conversations documented by the undercover agent to be accurate. He was taken into custody.
