New Ulm woman sentenced for stealing from employer 19 May 17

A New Ulm woman convicted of stealing $135,000 from her New Ulm employer was sentenced Thursday for two counts of felony theft. Forty-year-old Jennifer Sue Gieseke of New Ulm is ordered by the court to pay $135,000 in restitution to Puhlmann Lumber. In an agreement, Gieseke paid $60,000 at the sentencing hearing and must pay the remainder over the next four years. She was also sentenced to serve 120 days in the Brown County jail in 30 day staggered jail segments over the next four years. A 13-month prison sentence was stayed pending successful completion of probation.
